On the coming Wednesday I'll have the map as a .exe and a .dmg so whether you have a PC or a MAC, you can play the map! I am working with trying to get one more extra process that allows that when you pick up the Shock Rifle in one of the ships, bots spawn for you to fight.
In other news, I am going to make an appearence in a game made by the same person who made Killing Floor! They're working on a game called "Depth" and it is tremendous. I'll be making a vocal appearence in it. I don't know how much of the game I can talk about, so I wont mention anything that I can't find on youtube.
That being said. Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_6Kkkw FkKE
This is the game I'm talking about. We (fellow students in my class) have seen and played the in-development version of the game, and seen some of the amazing levels! I am looking forward to the game's release because it is fucking awesome. The graphics, the sound, the music, and everything else about the game is just mindblowingly amazing.
The game has been in development for 2 years, and it certainly shows. The game looks like a finished game, but the creator/producer/owner still feel like they need to add more. My teacher gets paid more the more they work on it, so he doesn't mind. But, we both want this game released so we can play it!
It has been a VERY exciting month. When stuff like this happens for me I get very humbled at how fortunate I am to get such opportunities. No matter how small, I just am floored by any chance I get to be in a project that has quality that I admire. It makes me feel like I'm doing something right, you know?
So in a couple days I'll have the map uploaded so you guys can play it on your own, or connect with other people who have the map via Hamachi or another LAN connection, and play it multiplayer! I'm looking forward to the future, it looks more and more promising the more skills that I get introduced to through this school. I look forward to learning the industry from future employers and colleagues while I work at a job that I love to do!
I'll keep you guys posted as more stuff develops.
