Oh boy. Let's get to reviewing.
So I'm greeted with a horribly off pitch "Seegaaa." You should be ashamed.
The next voice I hear has a blowing into the mic as I talk problem, but the voice was good. However, he had no lip syncing. Why? Lazy? Probably.
Next is the intro. Read rather well, but it all sounds the same. It has no variety in delivery. now, i understand this is a bit nit-picky, but if you were any good at directing the talent you have in your flash cartoon you would push them to make it not sound like they're reading. And sound more like telling a story. It would've made the intro not feel like it's dragging on and on.
Rina-Chan gave a performance I'd expect from her. She did the parts with emotion, but in my observations, she wasn't really into character. Though, it doesn't feel like anyone is actually into character in this animation except for the following:
Milanous, though I could barely understand him, thank you for the subtitles. Your Cody voice was nice, and you get kudos from me for that.
Sonicking, though your issue is that you don't handle emotion well. Pain comes out lacking, anger falls short, you just need a little more practice. I think you can be a great voice actor with more time and experience.
However, there are many poor voice actors in this animation. I think they pulled away from scenes. I would seriously consider re-casting them if I was you.
Viremaster, you made the noob mistake of getting too caught up in the voice instead of the character. Most of your lines come out flat, and they all sound the same. You need to work on understanding the character over the voice. It will enhance your voice acting greatly.
VoiceGirl, you have a serious problem with emotion. I barely heard any emotion, and any that you actually showed was lacking for the scene. You need to work on your delivery. A lot. You have a long way to go before you can consider yourself an actor. However, i am delighted to say your reading skills are top-notch. So I see a future for you if you work on your delivery and feeling lines. Keep working at it!
Akito Shikyoken, You are horrible. No amount of construction could ever build you into a voice actor anyone could tolerate. Your voice quality is horrible. you can't act at all. And you will probably NEVER make it in voice acting if you keep down this road.
Now for me to critique the animation and the animator:
There is a lot of room for improvement. I don't animate, myself. But I do know good animation when I see it. Sprite animation is difficult to animate well since you don't draw your own sprites. However, it's no excuse. Sprites are not hard to draw and/or customize.
As with most sprite animations, your fighting moves are heavily repetitive. You should either A: find more sprites. Or B: Draw a few of your own so you can do something unique! When you reuse animations and moves it looks rushed and lowers the over-all quality that it feels to the viewer.
I think you should experiment with wider angles. every fight is right in your face, and it gets old quickly. Be dynamic! It makes things more interesting! I think you have a lot of room to evolve as an animator. I hope that you do so, because that will be fun to watch!
3/10. It was over-all boring, repetitive, and the storyline didn't quite make up for any of it. You have plenty of room to improve. I hope you do so.
