Lame

I'm going to give you a fair review, but first I'm going to tell you my opinion: It was lame. And I am probably not going to watch any of the proceeding cartoons.

The pacing was alright, I wish it was a little bit faster, it wasn't slow by much, but seemed to be a LITTLE slow, ya know? Nothing to take away from the actual flash, but it was just a small bother to me, since the music felt faster than the montage :(

I realize it's supposed to be lame and stupid crap, but if that's the case, then reviews that call it lame and stupid crap are beneficial. Not gonna lie, Eddsworld has done this all before, and I didn't like it then. I'm probably not going to like it now.

The voice acting was meh. Obviously was too short to judge your acting abilities, but I had plenty to judge the over-all voice quality and tone. I can also give you a few pointers:

I assume you're using a headset, or a computer usb mic. If you aren't, then you paid way too much for whatever p.o.s. XLR mic you got your hands on. The main issue with usb computer mics is they seem to have no low-end, and it is a very distinctive tone most people can pick up. It doesn't sound good, now, You can maybe help out your vocal tone a bit if you add some low end to your voice files via an EQ plug-in, but really it all depends on whether or not the pic can even pick up those low-end frequencies. But, I say it's worth a try, it can improve the over-all quality of the voices you record :)

The animation was fine, but that was the problem. It was just fine. To me, the lack of extravagant animation and over-exaggerated movements just made the over-all feel of the "exaggerated tales" seem more lame than funny. Ya know? I understand that your animation style may not include exaggerated movement or anything like that, but if that's the case, and you don't want to attempt to adopt some of those techniques, you should be prepared to get a lot of uninterested people who are bored. I realize it's a ton of extra work, but since when did putting extra effort into something worth money not pay off on the internet? ....Maybe it's best we not answer that. >.>

I know the review's rating is low, but I just didn't like this as a whole. It says nothing about you, it's this specific toon that I'm reviewing. It appeals to a large demographic: Little kids, memetards, and anime fans. They aren't the smartest bunch on the internet, but hey. If they'll earn you money to buy food, then more power to ya. I just think that some of my suggestions could give a few people from other groups that aren't 3-20 years old an excuse to bring their friends when they watch something like this. Whether you want to admit it or not, this idea is old hat. You should jazz it up a little bit more than bringing in a giant animal (old hat again.) to use as an excuse to play an over-rated song.

Over-all, i think this will probably be successful...as long as you keep the effort and quality put into each toon consistent, which may or may not leave room for improvement. Your demographic has one big flaw: They aren't as accepting to new things as others are. Like, you don't see memes that have more than one "version" that often. Though you do see animes like that, not many of their fans are willing to admit it. You see where I'm going with this.

So in closing. I don't like it. But, good luck with your series.

Druox.

Yep.

That's social network for ya.

I don't even know what possessed hollywood to even make that joke of a cinematic production. That shit's like the Rebecca Black of Moviefilms.

Oh, right. Review time:

EVERYTHING SUCKED.....except the BG music, and that's the only reason I'm giving this a 5.

This isn't stealing, robaugust52

My song is a parody of this song. Robaugust52 is crazy.

Typical catchy britishy song stuff that we have all come to expect from Weebl.

'Nuff said.

5/5

Blair Witch?

Was boring then. And it's boring now :( Don't get me wrong, the animation was alright, and was pretty good quality.

But it was boring...I lost interest too fast in it, it dragged on way too long. I knew the dog was going to die, and I knew he was going to be killed. I had a friend tell me the ending. Furries? Glad I didn't stick around. Would've been too gruesome.

The humor and content just doesn't appeal to me, bro. It's a shame I'm outside of the demographic you appeal to :( I really want to enjoy your stuff.

Singing Stoves

Fucking Genius. Genius.

Wtf?

What the fuck is this thing? I don't even consider this animation. It is so choppy and broken, it is basically a fast slide show. Not frame by frame animation. Your drawing is less than sub-par, your mouth animations/lip-syncing was non-existent, and your sound effects were disgustingly bad in quality. Your microphone is horrible. And there was no writing in this. At all.

That being said: You couldn't write dialogue? You have Rina-Chan, a well known voice actress in your shitty piece of shit flash that probably wont even get underdog because of how horrid it is, and you make her mumble? Are you stupid?

No, you should not continue this series until you do the following things:

Learn to draw - There is no eye candy, that makes people lose interest very quickly.

Learn to write - There is 0 character development. In fact, there's no way to tell who was the main character of this retarded thing until he got a "girlfriend." Actually, scratch that; there were no characters. Just mumbling stick figures that happened to be in the same room sometimes. I understand that you wanted to "make them like the Sims," but if you want to "show things through images," YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO FUCKING DRAW!!! So take the time to learn to draw if you're gonna focus on the imagery. This is 2010, kid. you're competing with Egoraptor, Weebl, and other talented artists/animators. This kinda stuff isn't tolerated anymore.

This whole thing is an affront to animators and newgrounds as a whole. The fact you used another newgrounder's popularity to get your disgustingly wretched piece of shit flash noticed is vile, and speaks a lot to what you are as a person.

You have a LONG way to go as an animator, voice actor, and person. You need to get an actual microphone. A tablet. Drawing lessons. Writing lessons. Maybe even a rope and a nice strong beam to swing from..

MFRS responds:

Dude if you see my first video posted here and see this one you see at least some improvement. I did my best, seriously. I could get another voice artist to replace the voices i made. I just happened to have a different idea than just a normal flash video. But for your point of view, i see i should just put normal voices instead of these ones. Thanks for commenting.

Oh boy. Let's get to reviewing.

So I'm greeted with a horribly off pitch "Seegaaa." You should be ashamed.

The next voice I hear has a blowing into the mic as I talk problem, but the voice was good. However, he had no lip syncing. Why? Lazy? Probably.

Next is the intro. Read rather well, but it all sounds the same. It has no variety in delivery. now, i understand this is a bit nit-picky, but if you were any good at directing the talent you have in your flash cartoon you would push them to make it not sound like they're reading. And sound more like telling a story. It would've made the intro not feel like it's dragging on and on.

Rina-Chan gave a performance I'd expect from her. She did the parts with emotion, but in my observations, she wasn't really into character. Though, it doesn't feel like anyone is actually into character in this animation except for the following:

Milanous, though I could barely understand him, thank you for the subtitles. Your Cody voice was nice, and you get kudos from me for that.

Sonicking, though your issue is that you don't handle emotion well. Pain comes out lacking, anger falls short, you just need a little more practice. I think you can be a great voice actor with more time and experience.

However, there are many poor voice actors in this animation. I think they pulled away from scenes. I would seriously consider re-casting them if I was you.

Viremaster, you made the noob mistake of getting too caught up in the voice instead of the character. Most of your lines come out flat, and they all sound the same. You need to work on understanding the character over the voice. It will enhance your voice acting greatly.

VoiceGirl, you have a serious problem with emotion. I barely heard any emotion, and any that you actually showed was lacking for the scene. You need to work on your delivery. A lot. You have a long way to go before you can consider yourself an actor. However, i am delighted to say your reading skills are top-notch. So I see a future for you if you work on your delivery and feeling lines. Keep working at it!

Akito Shikyoken, You are horrible. No amount of construction could ever build you into a voice actor anyone could tolerate. Your voice quality is horrible. you can't act at all. And you will probably NEVER make it in voice acting if you keep down this road.

Now for me to critique the animation and the animator:
There is a lot of room for improvement. I don't animate, myself. But I do know good animation when I see it. Sprite animation is difficult to animate well since you don't draw your own sprites. However, it's no excuse. Sprites are not hard to draw and/or customize.

As with most sprite animations, your fighting moves are heavily repetitive. You should either A: find more sprites. Or B: Draw a few of your own so you can do something unique! When you reuse animations and moves it looks rushed and lowers the over-all quality that it feels to the viewer.

I think you should experiment with wider angles. every fight is right in your face, and it gets old quickly. Be dynamic! It makes things more interesting! I think you have a lot of room to evolve as an animator. I hope that you do so, because that will be fun to watch!

3/10. It was over-all boring, repetitive, and the storyline didn't quite make up for any of it. You have plenty of room to improve. I hope you do so.

Druox

piezilla does have a point </3

"Mr. D - Travail.
Current score, 4.15/5.00.

You were saying?"

Current Score: 3.62 / 5.00

:(

I 5'd it since it was at least genuine. more than most of the bullshit i see on here. Sure it isn't professional quality. Sure it isn't OMFG AMAZING-TASTICAL GOODNESS (or a videogame parody) but it is genuine. 7/10. Kudos.

Haha, just as cool as when I first unlocked em'!

And not only because I'm in a lot of em ;D

Everyone did an exceptional job!

Oh look. The Weekenders..again...

It's amazing how anime geeks hate american tv shows but love to steal their character types and storylines.

=/ Well animated, the voice acting was average.

6/10. Keep truckin' man. Try making something a little less dated and it'll hold my attention longer.

Also, the chick in the pink shirt, from the side looks like her boobs are uneven >.> Ew. I think you were trying to show a bra line :O But if not, it made her look real nasty.

*yawn*
